NFT Sales Surge to $224 Million, Pudgy Penguins Sales Jump 50%

Sales in the NFT market have increased due to mixed price action in cryptocurrencies, with Bitcoin reclaiming the $100,000 mark while Ethereum fell back from the $4,000 mark last week.

Ethereum network sees a 21% increase

The Ethereum (ETH) Blockchain continues to dominate with revenue of $118.9 million, up 21.33% from the previous period. The network saw an increase in wash trading, increasing by 117.35% to $43.8 million.

Bitcoin (BTC) NFT ecosystem sales have reached $51.8 million, an increase of 14.79%. The network’s wash trading saw a moderate increase of 11.30%, indicating relatively cleaner trading activity compared to Ethereum.

Solana (SOL) has strengthened its position with sales of $21.4 million and growth of 32.12%. Mythos Chain (MYTH) and ImmutableX (SME) round out the top five with revenues of $10.9 million and $8.5 million, respectively.

There were big changes in the collection ranking: Pudgy Penguins – the collection consists of 8,888 unique penguin avatars – retained its first place. Their sales volume reached $30 million, an increase of 51.53% compared to the previous period.

BRC-20 NFTs continue to perform strongly with sales of $15.5 million, an increase of 54.63%. One notable newcomer, LilPudgys, saw revenue increase 1,021.54% to $13.5 million.

Azuki and Guild of Guardians Heroes round out the top five, with Azuki being particularly strong with a 179.46% increase in sales.
